That&rsquo;s a fair thing to say from the outside. There&rsquo;s a USB stick involved, a staging directory, a <code>--chown</code> flag, and a Nix file that generates shell scripts. If you&rsquo;re used to <code>nixos-rebuild switch</code> and nothing else, it looks like a lot of code for the job of installing an operating system.</p>
